Furniture and cabinet finishes previously only obtainable with toxic, odorous, solvent based lacquers and stains, can now be achieved with the use of Faux Effects® Waterborne Finishing System™. These products not only make furniture finishing more manageable, but also provide durability and luster exceeding that of traditionally "production" finished pieces.

This three day class is not elementary wood finishing, but designer showcase finishes that will enable you to decipher and replicate many of the high-end finishes seen in magazines and catalogs such as Horchow or Veranda. Samples will be completed on a variety of solid wood paneled doors, and intricately carved moldings.

Learn cost effective methods for twelve techniques including proper surface preparation, priming, base coats, distressing, antique glazing, crackles, metallic leafing, aging processes, custom staining, and top coat application. Instruction will include hands-on use of the Faux Effects® HVLP decorative spray system. Prior experience with Faux Effects® products recommended for this class. (Or approval of instructor)

As always class fee includes detailed instruction manual, all materials, contiental breakfast, and lunch. Be prepared for 3 days of learning and fun, as well as beautiful portfolio additions to your repertoire that will dazzle designers and clients. Please use the contact form for more information.
